The Abrams Scholarship

The Abrams Scholarship was established by CP (NSW/ACT) in 2021 to acknowledge the work of past CP (NSW/ACT) President Sue Abrams, who spent over a decade promoting and developing interdisciplinary collaborative practice in NSW. It reflects CP (NSW/ACT)’s commitment to helping the collaborative community grow by supporting members and future members to engage in training.

What the scholarship provides:

Two scholarships are offered annually. Each recipient receives funding to the value of $1,450, which may be used to:

  • Undertake collaborative practice training that satisfies Membership Eligibility Requirements, or to undertake advanced training in collaborative practice
  • Meet the annual joint CP (NSW/ACT)/AACP membership fee for one year

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must reside in NSW or demonstrate a significant connection to NSW
  • Applications are considered by the CP (NSW/ACT) Board and announced annually

Mentoring

Experienced CP (NSW/ACT) members are available to provide informal mentoring for professionals who are newer to collaborative practice. If you are interested in being matched with a mentor, or in offering mentoring to a newer member, please contact us.

Minute-taking opportunities

Attending collaborative meetings as a minute-taker is one of the best ways to learn the collaborative process before you have your own clients. CP (NSW/ACT) can help connect professionals who are new to collaborative practice with experienced practitioners willing to be observed. Contact us to express interest.
