How Financials Bring Value to the Collaborative Table – Member Event 7 August 2025
Financial advisers are key players in the collaborative process. Traditionally involved only after settlement in traditional family law…
For our first CP(NSW) member event of 2026, we tested an idea – what really happens inside the head of a collaborative coach?
Under Bianca Roche-Bolger’s skilful facilitation, the panel took us inside their thinking, including the hesitation and uncertainty that rarely make it into professional development materials.
Our anonymised composite case gave Shelby Timmins, Gloria Hawke, Valerie Norton and Aileen Slattery plenty to wrestle with – financial vulnerability, a history of substance abuse, unspoken mental health considerations and uneven professional team experience.
What emerged was a clear picture of how coaches work with the team to hold (and steady) the collaborative process.

60 members and guests joined us, alongside interstate colleagues, Zinta Harris and Clarissa Rayward, and Kelly Sutton from “across the ditch”. And it’s always a pleasure to welcome our NSW-based AACP Board members, Bernie Bolger, Genevieve Morgan and Alicia Elliott.
For those who couldn’t attend, a recording will be available shortly.
It was a strong start to CP(NSW)’s 20th year. Our next member event is in May – details to follow.
Enormous thanks to our generous venue host, Mills Oakley.
